Extension of KOMAG services
We are pleased to inform that the KOMAG Institute of Mining Technology has extended its services by certification of Quality Management Systems (QMS).
KOMAG has got accreditation of the Polish Centre for Accreditation No. AC 165 in the scope of certification of management systems for conformity with ISO 9001, for the factories manufacturing the following products:
- Metals and metal goods
- Machines and accessories
- Electric and optic devices.
Extended possibilities of KOMAG’s testing services
Three testing laboratories at our Institute underwent joint assessment made by the Polish Centre for Accreditation. It was the first assessment realized at KOMAG in so-called integrated system where all laboratories were assessed according to the same criteria at the same time by a seven-person team of auditors.
Visit of the representatives of the China National Coal Group Corporation at KOMAG
The representatives of the China National Coal Group Corporation (ChinaCoal) and its subsidiaries China National Coal Mining Equipment Co., Ltd. (CME) and ChinaCoal Zhangjiakou Coal Mining Equipment Co., Ltd. (CCZMM), who were the members of the official Chinese delegation accompanying the Prime Minister Mr. Wen Jiabao, visited KOMAG on 1st May 2012.
Professor Pu Jin, Vice President of ChinaCoal, led an eight-person delegation.
Testing of products intended for contact with food
Accredited Laboratory of Material Engineering and Environment in KOMAG has completed interlaboratory comparisons programme entitled: “Testing of proficiency in determination of global migration from polyethylene film” with very high rating. Laboratory of Department of Food Research in National Institute of Public Health – National Institute of Hygiene was the organizer of comparison tests.
