Realization of technical projects in the domain of environmental protection:

  • reports on environmental impacts,
  • ecological surveys of industrial plants,
  • analyses of road traffic,
  • assessments of hazards to soil, surface waters, underground waters, water intakes and their protection zones,
  • environmental analyses for road construction procedures.

Preparation of applications for issuing the following documents:

  • integrated permits,
  • permits for an introduction of gases and dust to the air,
  • water supply and sewage effluent disposal consents (statements of environmental impacts),
  • waste production licences.

Designing of the following systems and machines:

  • dust control systems and machines,
  • up-grading of dust control systems,
  • sorting plants of municipal wastes,
  • municipal sewage treatment plants,
  • monitoring systems of saline waters.

Development of programmes and plans of:

  • environmental protection,
  • municipal and industrial wastes management,
  • monitoring of ambient air dust levels in regional and local scales,
  • air protection.

Taking measurements and conducting tests:

  • measurements of emissions and imissions of pollutants,
  • modelling of pollutants propagation,
  • testing the effectiveness of dust control equipment,
  • determination of flow characteristics of fans,
  • testing the quality of water and sewage,
  • testing the properties of wastes as regards a selection of their utilization method.

Development of analyses related to energy assessment of buildings:

  • certificates of energy characteristics,
  • energy and repair audits,
  • assessment of real condition of external building partitions using thermo-visual method,
  • verification of ordered thermal power.

Other activity:

  • trainings,
  • ecological consultancy,
  • expert opinions in the scope of environment protection and environmental technologies,
  • development of standards related to dust control and ventilation equipment and systems.

The Division realizes the following projects in the range of underground engineering and geo-engineering:

  • statistical calculations, determination of load capacity and designing of supports for mine workings,
  • expert opinions on shaft supports,
  • determination of support stabilization coefficient for sprags,
  • determination of method for protecting workings and underground structures,
  • projects of liquidation of shafts and other workings,
  • designs of water dams,
  • analyses of geotechnical constructions stability,
  • designing of tunnel workings.

KOMAG is authorized by the State Mining Authority to perform tasks of experts for mining plant operation (No. 134/2008) in the scope of selecting bolts, shaft supports and supports of workings of the cross-section exceeding 30 m2.
