- KOMAG Institute of Mining Technology was mentioned as the expert in mining plant operation and has got authorization No. 207/2011 issued by the President of State Mining Authority as regards the following:

- issuing opinions concerning a selection of shafts and shaft inlets as well as a selection of supports for roadways of cross-section area 30 m2 and more in hard coal mining plants - § 169 section 1 item 2 of Decree of Ministry of Economy dated 28 June 2002 on work safety and hygiene, operation and special firefighting protection in underground mining plants (Journal of Laws No. 139 pos. 1169 and Journal of Laws of 2006 No. 124, pos. 863),
- development of design of roof bolting - item 1.4 and 1.4.1, 1.4.2, 1.4.3 of 1.4.4 of Annex No. 3 to the mentioned above Decree of Ministry of Economy,
- selection of geometry of bolting net together with the assessment, if wall bolts are required as well as with specification of accepted roof opening, item 1.5.2.3, 1.5.2.4 and 1.5.3 of Annex No. 3 to the mentioned above Decree of Ministry of Economy,
- defining the rules and carrying out inspections of roadways stability with individual roof bolting, item 1.8.2.2, 1.8.3.1, 1.8.3.2, 1.8.3.3 and 1.8.4.2 of Annex No. 3 to the mentioned above Decree of Ministry of Economy,
- making arrangements in the case of changes in mining-and-geological conditions in relation to the arrangements in the roof bolting design, item 1.8.8.1. of Annex No. 3 to the mentioned above Decree of Ministry of Economy,
- KOMAG Institute of Mining Technology was mentioned as the expert in operation of mining plant and has got authorization No. 159/08 issued by the President of State Mining Authority to give opinions as regards use of different types of powered roof supports in one longwall, taking into account both technical parameters of roof supports and mining-and-geological conditions of the given longwall panel (§ 440 section 8 of Decree of Ministry of Economy dated 28 June 2002 on work safety and hygiene, operation and special firefighting protection in underground mining plants (Journal of Laws No. 139 pos. 1169 and Journal of Laws of 2006 No. 124, pos. 863).
- KOMAG Institute of Mining Technology was mentioned as the expert in operation of mining plant and has got authorization No. 194/2010 issued by the President of State Mining Authority to carry out tests and to give opinions required in the Decree of Ministry of Economy dated 28 June 2002 on work safety and hygiene, operation and special firefighting protection in underground mining plants (Journal of Laws of 2002 No. 139 pos. 1169 with further amendments), as regards hoisting machines ( § 457 section 3 of the decree as well as the following items : 5.16.4.1, 5.16.4.5, 5.16.4.7, 5.16.5.15 sub-item 1), 5.16.5.16 sub-item 2) and 5.16.5.17 sub-item 6) Annex No. 4 to the decree).
