We inform you that from 27 December 2015 the requirements for using the harmful substances in consumer products made of plastics or rubber were stringed by the Regulation of European Commission  (EC) No. 1272/2013, replacing the Regulation  (EC) No. 1907/2006 – REACH. The limitation concerns Polycyclic Aromatic Hydrocarbons – PAHs, in German Polyzyklische Aromatische Kohlenwasserstoffe – PAK, classified, according to the Regulation  (EC) No. 1272/2008 – CLP, as the carcinogenic substances of 1B Category. The following substances belong to this group: Benzo[a]pyrene (BaP), Benzo[e]pyrene (BeP), Benzo[a]anthracene (BaA), Chrysene (CHR), Benzo[b] fluoranthene (BbFA), Benzo[j]fluoranthene (BjFA), Benzo[k]fluoranthene (BkFA), Di-benzo[a,h]anthracene (DBAhA).

KOMAG Institute organized the Kick-off and Steering Committee meeting of OVOMAX project on 1st December. OVOMAX project aims to develop of contents and implementation of an online free access course dedicated for Medical Device designers of custom-made medical devices. The e-learning tool resulting from the project will be available online in 4 European languages (English, Spanish, Polish and Hungarian) in order to increase acceptance of the e-learning course. Among others, the e-course will contain production process of custom-made medical devices.
